Council

Our Council

The Council has 25 voluntary members which have been appointed by the Minister for Health and Children. We have a lay majority which means that over half of our members do not come from the regulated professions. The Council was established in March 2007.

Council meets at a minimum of 4 times per year.

 

Terms of Office

The term of office for Council Members is 4 years. Half the Council was replaced after its first 2 years to ensure that only half the Council are replaced at any one time and that there is some continuity of experience.
