The Criteria and Standards of Proficiency for Education and Training are the requirements for approval of programmes set out by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board.
Students who successfully complete the programme meet the standard of proficiency for the Occupational Therapy profession and so are eligible to join the Register.
When finalised, the Criteria and Standards of Proficiency will provide the basis for a range of activities including approval of qualifications and programmes required for registration to this profession and assessment of professional competence.
To this end, today CORU has launched a consultation seeking views from members of the public on the Criteria and Standards of Proficiency for Education and Training.
This is an important step in the continued provision of safe and effective services for the benefit of service users.
