Two year transitional period by profession

Social Workers: 31 May 2011 – 31 May 2013.

All practising Social Workers must have applied for registration before 31 May 2013.

Radiographers and Radiation Therapists: 31 October 2013 - 31 October 2015.

All practising Radiographers and Radiation Therapists must have applied for registration before 31 October 2015.

Dietitians: 31 October 2014- 31 October 2016.

All practising Dietitians must have applied for registration before 31 October 2016.

Speech and Language Therapists: 31 October 2014- 31 October 2016.

All practising Speech and Language Therapists must have applied for registration before 31 October 2016.

Occupational Therapists: 31 March 2015-31 March 2017.

All practising Occupational Therapists must have applied for registration before 31 March 2017.

Physiotherapists: 30 September 2016 - 30 September 2018.

All practising Physiotherapists must apply for registration before 30 September 2018.

 

The 2 year transitional period for the following health and social care professions is yet to be confirmed:

  • Clinical Biochemists
  • Medical Scientists
  • Orthoptists
  • Podiatrists
  • Psychologists
  • Social Care Workers
