CPD Audit
CORU undertook a review of its CPD approach in 2017 that has informed changes to the documentation and information that registrants are required to submit if called for audit.
Your Registration Board conducts regular audits, in line with the below audit periods, to confirm that you have a system and process in place to ensure your knowledge, skills and performance are of a high standard. A random selection of registrants will be selected to submit a CPD record via their Registrant Portal evidencing a minimum of 30 CPD credits in every 12-month period.
Further information on CPD Audit is available in our CPD Audit Policy.
CORU CPD Record
If you are called for audit, you will be asked to submit your record of CPD via your registrant profile on the registrant system.
There is a CORU Registrant Guide to Completing a CPD Audit here to guide you through the process of submitting your CPD on the registrant system.
You can also find a step-by-step video of submitting a CPD record through the registrant system below.
To keep a record of your CPD activities, we also have an editable word version of CPD record template available to download to use as a recording tool to track your CPD throughout each audit period.
Registrants are NOT required to submit the CPD Record Template for CPD Audit.
The CPD Record Template may be used by registrants to record their CPD activities on an ongoing basis and can be used to populate the relevant fields within the CPD Audit section of the registrant system if called for audit.
Registrants can use the CPD Record Template to populate the relevant fields on the CPD Audit section of the registrant portal.
The fields required to be populated on the registrant system for CPD audit correspond to the fields on the CPD Record template.
Registrants can copy and paste the information they have recorded on their CPD record template into the relevant fields on the registrant system.
The areas included in the CPD record template and which are required to be submitted for CPD audit through the registrant system are:
- Implementation of learning activities that achieved 30 CPD credits of new or enhanced learning
- Evaluation and reflection of the learning achieved
- Review of learning needs for the next 12-month period
- Planned learning activities for the next 12-month period
CORU has produced a visual aid to support registrants selected for CPD audit, to assist them in completing the CPD record template that can be used to populate the required information on the registrant portal if called for audit. All registrants selected for audit are advised to view the video ahead of completing their CPD record for audit.
PLEASE NOTE: The CPD record template referred to in the video is no longer required to be submitted as part of the CPD Audit. This template remains available on the CORU website as a recording tool for registrants to assist in populating the relevant fields on the CPD Audit section of the registrant portal if called for audit.
