Maureen Carolan

Maureen Carolan is an experienced Company Secretary who has had a lengthy career in Bank of Ireland in various roles. In addition to working as a Company Secretary she has worked as a Governance Manager, a Trust and Banking Manager and a Personal Trust Manager. Maureen has strong business acumen and extensive knowledge of corporate governance. In her role as Company Secretary, Maureen worked in a number of divisions including Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank, Bank of Ireland Private Banking, New Ireland Assurance (Investment and Audit Committees) and the Bank of Ireland Group Audit Committee.  In these roles her duties included providing principal support for Independent Non-Executive Directors and drafting papers for the Boards and Committees across a range of technical and governance matters.

Maureen holds a Diploma in Wealth Management from the Institute of Bankers and a number of further financial and secretarial qualifications such as certificates in Irish Company Secretarial Practice and Share Registration, Investment Advice, Mutual Funds and Financial Services. Maureen also hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in European Studies.

Maureen is currently a Director of a local community support charity, the Mounttown Neighbourhood Youth Project Ltd and is also a Board Member and Company Secretary of the cancer charity “Look Good Feel Better”. In addition to this charitable work Maureen is an active Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Professionals.
