ohnmary Arinze
Dr Johnmary Arinze is a medical doctor and clinical epidemiologist with international experience across academic medicine, public health and the global pharmaceutical industry. He holds a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from Erasmus University Rotterdam, an MSc in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Bordeaux, and a medical degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Dr Arinze has director-level experience in epidemiology and real-world evidence in the pharmaceutical sector, leading large-scale observational research programmes that support regulatory and clinical decision-making. He previously served as Principal Investigator within the European Medicines Agency (EMA)-sponsored DARWIN EU initiative at Erasmus University Medical Center in the Netherlands, where he led multinational real-world evidence studies evaluating the use, safety and effectiveness of medicines across European healthcare databases. Earlier in his career, he worked as a medical doctor in university teaching hospitals before moving into clinical epidemiology and regulatory science. His work focuses on the use of real-world health data to inform healthcare policy, regulatory decisions and patient safety.
As a member of the Radiographers Registration Board, Dr Arinze contributes expertise in clinical research, epidemiology and evidence-based healthcare to support CORU’s mission of protecting the public and maintaining high professional standards.
