Annemarie Cullen

Annmarie Cullen is an experienced legal practitioner who has worked in a wide variety of legal areas since qualifying as a solicitor in 2000. Ms Cullen has considerable expertise in corporate governance, regulation and the Irish healthcare system. Ms Cullen currently works in the HSE’s Internal Office of Legal Services as part of a team which manages the organisation’s relationship with external legal advisors and monitors the legal risks of the organisation. Ms Cullen is also a member of the HSE National Consent Policy Steering Group which is a multi-agency group tasked with updating the HSE National Consent Policy.

Prior to working for the HSE, Ms Cullen was a partner with Wallace Reidy & Company Solicitors in Limerick where she dealt with a large range of legal areas including property transactions, Probate and Wardship. In addition to her Bachelor in Civil Law from University College Cork and her completion of the Law Society of Ireland’s professional qualifications course, Ms Cullen has qualifications from the Law Society in Property Taxation, Trust and Estate Planning and a Certificate in Assisted Decision-Making Capacity & Support.

In 2018, Ms Cullen completed the Institute of Public Administration’s Postgraduate Professional Certificate in Governance and an Advanced Diploma in Medical Law with the Honourable Society of Kings Inns. Ms Cullen gained an Advanced Diploma in Social Media and Media Law with the Kings Inns in 2022 and is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Governance with the Institute of Public Administration. Ms Cullen is also a member of the board of Headway Ireland, a registered charity supporting adults affected by brain injury.
