Adam McDermott

Adam qualified with a BSc Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin in 2013.  He commenced his clinical career as a physiotherapist in St James’s Hospital Dublin.  While working in St. James’s he completed his MSc in Exercise Physiology and his research thesis focused on the effect of exercise on cognitive function in people living with HIV.  Adam received his PhD Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2018.  His research focused on the effect of different exercise modalities on cardiorespiratory fitness in people living with Type 2 diabetes. Adam then worked as a senior physiotherapist in neurology and general medical rehabilitation in St. James’s Hospital Dublin before moving to take up his current role of senior physiotherapist in the emergency department in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin.
